I came to development from print. Years in prepress and graphic design taught me that precision isn't a finishing step — it's where the work starts.

That pairing is the point. I'd rather carry a component from the first Figma frame through to shipped, tested code than hand it across a gap — it's how the details survive. Most of my work lives inside content management systems, where the interesting constraint is that someone else has to use this every day, long after I've moved on.
